This 14 day tour not only take you to the Vietnam main attractions but also give you the chance to understand the culture of different Ethnic Minority Groups in Vietnam
Day 1: Arrive Hanoi ( D) Arrival Hanoi, Welcome at Noi Bai Airport by Hanoi Red Tours guide and transfer to hotel. At leisure. Enjoy very delicious Vietnamese food at local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 2: Hanoi (B,L,D) This morning you will take a half-day sightseeing tour of Hanoi including Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum and the Temple of Literature, first national university of Vietnam built in 1076. We then visit the Army Museum where we have an insight into the war: French War and American war, the former culminated in the final decisive battle Dien Bien Phu.. In the afternoon visit the Museum of Ethnology where display samples of 54 ethnic groups living in Vietnam. We enjoy water puppet show in the everning. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 3: Overnight train to Sapa (B,L,D) Walking tour through the mazes of old quarter to visit Hanoi Cathedral, Lake of Return Sword with Ngoc Son Temple. Visit museum of History of Vietnam. Tonight we board a soft class sleeper train to Sapa. Overnight on the train. Day 4: Sapa ( B,L,D) Arrival to Lao Cai station early in the morning, transfer to Sapa. The whole area is spectacular, as Sapa lies in a valley surrounded by paddy fields in a variety of shades of green, but is overlooked by Vietnam’s highest mountain, Mount Fansipan. Trekking along buffalo paths and trails and through several hill tribe villages of Lao Chai and Tavan, visit home of The H'mong and Dzay minority people. Overnight in Sapa Day 5: Visit Sapa. Night train back to Hanoi ( B,L,D) Today we explore Sapa and walk up to Ham Rong mountain – orchid gardens where you have a great view to Sapa valley and Fansipan mountain. Visit Church and Sapa maket in town before transfer to Lao Cai station then take train journey back to Hanoi. Overnight on train. Day 6 : Hanoi-Halong ( B,L,D) Meet at the station and transferred to Halong Bay. Upon arrival Halong Bay, check in board and cruise around Halong bay and soak in the misty atmosphere of this world heritage site. You will have the opportunity to swim from boat and explore some caves. Seafood lunch on board. We will continue our excursion around this stunning bay until the sun comes down.Overnight on boat. Day 7: Halong-Hanoi (B,L,D) We have a whole morning on boat exploring the amazing limestone backdrops. We are treated to a seafood lunch before transfer back to Hanoi. Stop over at Dong Trieu Ceramic villagae for coffe and relax. Overnight in Hanoi. Day 8: Hanoi-Hue (B,L,D) The the morning flight to Hue. We take the boat along Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda and King Ming Mang Tomb in the morning. Check in hotel. Continue to dicover the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945 and Dong Ba market. Overnight in Hue. Day 9: Hue-Hoian (B,L,D) This morning we head out on a lovely journey southbound to Hoi An with one stop in Da Nang to visit Cham Museum, Craft village before arriving in Hoi An. Walking around the historic town, Hoi An was thriving international trading port- between the 17th and 19th centuries, exploring the Chinese Assembly Halls and fascinating ancestral homes, some of which have been occupied by the same family for fifteen generations. The riverside market is always a hive of activity. Overnight in Hoi An. Day 10: Hoian-Ho Chi Minh City ( B,L,D) Hoi An is a delightful small town easily explored by foot or ride bycle to Cua Dai beach, about 4 kms away. Have a whole new wardrobe tailored or improve your culinary skills with a Vietnamese cooking lesson. Take the sort flight to HCMC. On arrival you will be transferred to hotel. Overnight in Saigon. Day 11: Sai Gon- Vung Tau – Long Tan – Minh Dam – Sai Gon (B,L,D) We take a full day tour to Vung Tau. There'll be visits to Long Tan Cross, Horse Shoe then to Long Phuoc Tunnels en-route, Nui Dat (SAS Hill). Return Saigon in the afternoon. Overnight in Saigon. Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City ( B,L,D) Morning: City tour of dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, still called Saigon by many locals, takes in the former Presidential Palace, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Ben Thanh Market and War Museum. The afternoon, continue to visit Thien Hau Pagoda in the city’s bustling Chinatown, Cho Lon Market and shopping at some lacquerware factory, busy market as Dong Khoi, Nguyen Hue… Overnight in Sai Gon Day 13: Cu Chi Tunnels - HCM city ( B,L,D) In the morning you will take a tour to the famous Cu Chi tunnels, where played a vital part in the American war in that they allowed the Viet Cong to control a large rural area only 30-40 kms from Saigon. The network, parts of which were several storey deep, included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centres and kitchens. The rest of day is at leisure in Sai Gon . Overnight in Saigon.
